Tolegen Mukhamejanov won INTERNATIONAL AWARD “Man of the Year-2012”. The award was presented on 7 November 2012 and was dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the liberation of the Kremlin from the Polish invaders. Award ceremony was held in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.

On October 31 by the decree of Nursultan Nazarbayev, Head of State, Tolegen Mukhamejanov has been appointed Director of the State Opera and Ballet Theater "Astana Opera"

  Civilization itself depends upon the peaceful co-existence of peoples. The ideal of a world at peace has served as an inspiration for both material and spiritual evolutionary transformation for centuries; indeed, it has always been the fervent prayer of all peace loving people. New global threats, such as hostilities between countries, environmental degradation, and economic turmoil, are increasing faster than the capacity of elites to effectively manage them. The threat of a collapse of the existing social order remains. It is exacerbated by the dangers of military confrontations. This fact emphasizes the critical task of safeguarding and strengthening every dimension of world peace and harmony amongst peoples, nations, and between humanity and the environment.

 We are grateful for the gift of life. We are aware that today irresponsible uses of science, technology, and social organization are threatening to destroy the living systems upon which civilization depends. We have placed the health of the oceans, the climate, and even the very lungs of the planet, the rainforests, at risk. In the pursuit of security states still threaten global annihilation with nuclear weapons. We believe that part of the solution is the invigoration of spiritual culture. Spiritual culture is the expression of our highest values. In order to inspire heart and minds to work in harmony we state our basic beliefs.
