1. Proposals on the theme and agenda of the conference in October, 2012 and the Second World Forum of Spiritual Culture in 2013. Today we shall decide on the theme of the Second WFSC. It is important that it should touch upon the vital interests of the majority of world’s population. On the basis of the subject of the Forum we are to outline the theme of the conference in October this year, so that it becomes a critically important preparatory stage for the Second Forum and stresses the 20th anniversary of the movement of Spiritual Concord. At the same time we would like this meeting to be business and have the character of a working session.
I suggest that we discuss the agenda of the upcoming World Forum of Spiritual Culture 2013 together, so that the themes are not enforced by me. We have enough time for that. We have also placed the proposal of Suhail Farah, our friend and a member of the Presidium as well as the letters and proposals of other members. Of course, the main subject of our discussion will be preparation for the Second World Forum of Spiritual Culture and Anniversary Сonference, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Congress of Spiritual Concord.
While working on our projects and communicating directly with you, I can not stop to think about how to reach out to billions of hearts, living on our planet today. How to make our world become more beautiful, so that there are no the hungry and the poor, so that the strong do not rob and torture the weak and so that people take care of the gifts of nature and do not seek to an endless exhaustion of the Earth in their incredible greed. Is such a miracle possible, or is it just an impossible utopian idea in the full sense of the word? Or is there still a little bit of hope? Of course there is, but we need atomical effort, not only ours, but also the efforts of future generations.
Hollywood actor Armand Assante began falling in love with Kazakhstan in 2007 when the Kazakhstan Film Festival invited him to Almaty to show his new release “California Dreamin.” A busy work schedule prevented Armand from accepting the invitation from festival president Yermek Amanshayev, whose day job is president of Almaty-based Kazakhfilm Studios. But before 2007 was out, the Hollywood action-film producer Erken Ialgalshev had brought Armand to his native land – and the actor was blown away by what he experienced.
We have great news: the film of our friend, Armand Assante has won Best Short Documentary at Gasparilla International Film Festival. It is our common victory! We invite you to read the press-release of GIFF. Armand Assante has won Best Short Documentary at Gasparilla International Film Festival in Tampa, Florida for the powerful 27 minute film that he wrote and directed, "Dialogue From the Steppes." It was presented by Digital Domain.
We invite you to take part in the Conference, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the First Congress of Spiritual Concord, which will take place on October 17-19, 2012 in Astana, Kazakhstan. This conference will also be working. We are to summarize the results of the past 20 years and determine the tasks of our movement for the future. The Conference will become an important preparation stage for the Second World Forum of Spiritual Concord, planned for 2013.
