As you know, at the meeting of the International Organizing Committee of the World Forum of Spiritual Culture (WFSC), held in Astana in October 2015, it was decided to hold the Second Forum at the premises of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University in New Delhi, India, in October 2016.
The active preparations for the Forum are underway. During this work and according to the analysis of the situation and own opportunities, our colleagues and hospitable hosts of the Brahma Kumaris proposed that we should create a strong alliance of partners, which will provide a guarantee that the upcoming forum meets the high standards set by the First WFSC, held in Astana in 2010. The Government of India or the United Nations Information Centre in New Delhi could be such partners and official coordinators of the Forum.
In addition, all projects of the Brahma Kumaris are implemented only by means of voluntary donations, which in principle eliminate requests for financial assistance. However, we need solid financial provision to hold such a large-scale event like the WFSC.
According to our Indian friends, we need to extend the period of preparation for the WFSC, perhaps for a year. This period will allow us to create a strong alliance of partners and financial foundation of the Second Forum.
At the present time, intensive consultations between the co-chairs and members of the WFSC Presidium on the proposals of our Indian colleagues are being conducted. We hope that as a result, the optimal solution will be made and allow us to prepare and conduct the Second WFSC with maximum efficiency.
We would also like to draw the attention of all interested parties and those who would like to participate in the Forum in New Delhi to the next point. The Brahma Kumaris University provides a venue for the WFSC, accommodation and meals for the delegates. The participants of the Forum should arrange and purchase their flight tickets to Delhi and back themselves. This will be a small real contribution of each of us to the material resources of the Forum. We ask you to consider this when planning your time and budget.
We sincerely hope for your understanding and support on this matter.
