General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly | July 9, 2021

On July 9, 2021, in accordance with paragraph 4.2.1 of the Statute, the regular General Meeting of the Assembly members - the General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly - will take place.

In 2021, the General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly is being carried out with support of the UN Information CentreTASSis the general information partner. Information partners: Big AsiaMTRK "Mir"MKR-MediaTV BRICS.

The General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly - the General Meeting of all Assembly members - is the Supreme body of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly". The participation of Assembly members in the work of the General Meeting is a statutory norm.

The General Assembly will sum up the Assembly's activities since its establishment, approve a long-term plan for the next four years, and elect the governing bodies of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.

The General Assembly will be attended by more than 800 members of the Assembly - representatives of non-governmental organizations from 45 countries.

About the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is an international union of non-governmental organizations and citizens with an active life position, sharing and promoting the ideas and values of Eurasian integration, the protection of peace, the strengthening of friendship, harmony, partnership and good-neighbourliness among peoples.

The International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" was established at the Constituent Assembly on May 27, 2017.

The first General Assembly was held immediately after the Constituent Assembly in Moscow on May 27, 2017 and approved the main provisions of the organization.

The second extraordinary General Assembly was held on July 19, 2018 in Moscow, where 360 participants from 30 countries summed up the results of the first year of its activity and outlined the Assembly's plans for the future.

The third extraordinary General Assembly took place on January 28, 2021 in a mixed online-offline format.

The General Council is collegial executive body of the Assembly in the period between General Assemblies. It includes 144 well-known public figures from 33 countries of Greater Eurasia.

To prevent the spread of a new coronavirus infection, the regular General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly will be held in an online / remote in absentia format.
