Monika Holvoet, Germany research in “Human rights and duties” (male/female) Ethical and evolutive Potential of the Woman within the Global Social Process In true religion, the woman is highly esteemed due to her difficult way within evolution of mankind – as a symbol of self-sacrifice and everlasting giving. Women are said to have a better intuition and ability of synthesis, thus are said to be a step closer to the higher worlds than men. During the past century, a woman still had no right for higher general knowledge; her school education was comparable to that of mentally deficient individuals. There is no religion on earth that did not expel the woman and mother from the temple during the age of patriarchy. Dogmas in this era contain irreversible statements about the inferiority of women’s nature.
Moreover, the traditional religious (Christian) institutions blocked the increase of awareness of the human being with respect to his integration within the cosmos and, instead, communicated their geocentric view of the world.
The human as a concrete and individual part of the macrocosm, is subject to all cosmic laws according to the Greek verdict – “as above so below” (same in microcosm as in macrocosm)! Subsequently, man has to accomplish his conscious part by his conduct in life according to these laws. As a consequence, various rights or obligations for both woman and man, for the family, the society and for our whole community result from this logic.
Rights and obligations of woman and man
The first cosmic duty of a woman is to donate life in order to continue the life chain, which means – to become a mother.
The cosmic duty of a man basically consists of making available to the woman ideal preconditions, materially and in every other respect, for her to achieve her cosmic tasks in the best way.
Apart from the important identification of a woman as mother, as donator of life, cosmos has defined the mission for the woman to attract, inspire and motivate man towards higher targets. Creation or the Cosmos has given to the woman all necessary means to achieve this target. The basis and exclusive energy to carry mankind is the fire of love offered by the cosmos.
A natural question by the members of the global society:
How can the positive female energies be activated?
The present situation of the woman cannot be blamed on the male principle, since women failed as well. Many female individuals feel comfortable and protected by this paternalism which, however, particularly weakens her energy and numbs her capabilities. A woman has to recognize that in no way she is ranked behind a man. Therefore, the appeal to the woman has to be an appeal for her self-refinement and perfection, the development of own capabilities, the protection of her dignity. Beyond this she has to become aware that she has to establish the basis of existence as well as to waken creativity and beauty in order to emphasize the spiritual part in the human being with the target to become free for important achievements and beauty for the common good. A woman must become aware of her individual responsibility on the basis of ethical consciousness in line with the cosmic laws. To achieve this, refinement of personality resp. heart intelligence and a global intellectual knowledge will be necessary.
Obligation of the society
The support and encouragement of the woman enabling her to fulfil her task within the community is of highest priority in the society. The basic rights, duties and civic liberties and obligations (sociological and ethical) must be scientifically defined and supported by a kind of politics that is able to integrate cosmic and secular rights.
What support and consideration shall social scientists, politics and economy - esp. worldwide operating organisations like UNESCO render in order to achieve these targets?
Whether on a smaller or on a larger scale, any and all politics (deriving from “polis” = concerning the entire society/living community) in general should be oriented to life structures based on natural laws, considering these as absolute and NON-debatable.
The fundamental elements of such an imperatively required pan-national WORLD GOVERNMENT are basically existent in today’s United Nations. The transformation of the UN into a world government with related world parliament representing all human beings without exception is without alternative. Every year of delay means more chaos, more suffering, more misery, more degeneration, more confrontation, more speculation and helplessness – more wars!
Within a community or state the potentials gathered through economy (labour, achievements, commerce and so forth) play a primary role and function. Therefore, it is the duty of culture (ethics) to provide clearly defined and well-grounded ethical targets with surrounding conditions and rules for both men and women.
Summing up this rather simplified view we must see that the preparation, the structure and the realization of life and of all social structures must be put into the hands of the woman and mother. Due to her cosmic assignment she is the one to carry out the culturally important task for mankind to refine all areas of life – with the encouragement, the protection and the cooperation by the man. A woman cannot be liberated from this task and duty – and no-one can classify her as incapable or discriminate her otherwise. She represents the sensitive element of justice, of the higher order, of ethics – in short: of life. The active attitude of the woman resp. the women’s movement as such and a related qualitative perception of life must be considered of highest priority, since this is where a realistic chance for a better future will grow.
During the last two thousand years, man, despite his paternalistic dominance, his versatile and exclusive potentials in many areas, has proven his inability and inadequate attitude. Now there must be developed an objective, distinct cooperation of gender in all areas of life – as practiced already to some extent by wise heads of state where the woman is assigned her role based on her state of consciousness. The primary areas life has allocated to the female and mother are those of upbringing and education, nutrition (agriculture), biology and medical science as well as all psychological disciplines. In particular, this means the practical implementation of an ethically based attitude in everyday life.
As a consequence, the urgent setting up of ethical advisory boards in various areas, representing all cultural and ethnic groups, is fundamental. By the use of these boards, politics, economy and especially all public and social measures, projects and investments should be brought into life so that the general public is offered an open and diversified formula for feasibility, justice and reasonable expectations.
Culture is the true dimension of beauty, quality of life, joy and love. It is not only in a partnership that love is required, but also in our social environment (as already emphasized and taught by Plato). Unkindness between human beings leads to anarchy. The path to an all-human love might still be far away from reach, but a behaviour in full consciousness of ethical principles is already possible today – and not only that – it is absolutely and urgently required!
